A family shop, run by the family

Mom & Sons Comics is exactly what it sounds like. There is a Mom. There are sons. We sort, grade, photograph, pack and ship everything ourselves out of Stafford, Virginia.

Nobody here is a warehouse. When you buy a book from us, somebody in this family held it, looked it over under a light, decided what grade to call it, and wrote the description by hand.

What we sell

Two things, mostly.

Comics. Back issues across every publisher and era — Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Boom!, Dynamite, Valiant and more. Dollar-bin readers through keys and graded slabs.

Cards. Vintage and modern sports cards — baseball, basketball, football, wrestling and multi-sport — plus non-sport and entertainment sets.

Nearly every item is a single copy. When it sells, it is gone.

How we grade

Honestly, and conservatively. We are collectors first, and we have all bought a book online that showed up worse than advertised. So we call out the spine ticks, the creases, the tape, the water damage — the stuff a seller could quietly leave out of a photo.

If a graded book carries a Qualified or Restored label, we put it in the title, not buried in the description. You should never have to hunt for the thing that changes what a book is worth.
